Photograms

This is the first time I've made photograms and the first time I've used a dark room.
I really enjoyed the process and the results. the dragon fly came out really well.
I like the ghostly appearance/ x ray feel of these images.
they were made in the dark room by putting objects on the photographic paper and then exposing it to a small over head light. Test strips done at 5 second intervals indicated that 15 seconds was adequate exposure time.

The test strip above shows 3 lines getting darker, indicating the 5 second intervals while covering areas with a piece of card and moving it across the paper.

Photogram using the paper cut wing shape I made, making a negative image.

the details in this showed up really clear.

Safety notes; Caution must be taken when using the dark room, no eating or drinking as there are chemicals used for developing. No mobile phone as the light will ruin the photo paper. General caution when using the room as visibility is reduced.
