Installation Day

My work in the great hall, all set for installation, while Simon considered the works and conversed with us about the best placement for them.

my "kingdom of heaven " plate next to the sword motif that inspired it.

My work in situe. it was placed in Byrons dining room, the same room as the tea pot that inspired my line of inquiry.

The reflectiveness of both the plates and the mirror it was placed in front of made this very difficult to photograph, however, the reflective quality and the low lights of the room, gives a atmosphere and emphasis the richness of the gold leaf while the mirror enables you to view both sides of the work.

Full view of the dining room. the curtains are always kept close to visitors, to stage an evening meal .

A rare snap of the dining room in the morning sun. Simon allowed us to open the curtains to take photographs.  featuring a mock up of a typical meal that Byron would eat-( he was reputed to be a vegetarian! good for him!)

Honey Willams work is still situated in this room.

A picture of my work in natural light.

Shot from behind the table ( it was so much fun to be allowed behind the ropes!)
