I wanted to try to make the apron myself, firstly because I already had the perfect light, semi opaque fabric and secondly because I wanted it to be of a Victorian style but not a frilly fancy dress shop style apron from the shops. The act of making it is part of the ritual (and I had a few dress making daemons that I wanted to lay to rest)
It worked out well, I'm pleased with the result. Its a ghost of an apron, not a practical item as its so lightweight but still wearable and of a simple style.
I set myself a quiet day aside so I wasn't rushing and by taking the time and keeping my patience I managed it ! I've had many angry, miserable fails at dress making in the past so I approached this with caution!

Small sewing machine, brought from Aldi. Surprising easy to use and did the job. |

The fabric already had a few names collected on it, as I was trialing the technique. |
