Tree prints

I took these tree photographs along the canal on the walk to the Bennerly viaduct. i really loved the reflections in the still waters. I was reminded of the reflective quality f the box print row of houses that look as though they are reflection in water. These two things tied together in my thoughts and I wanted to then make some prints with branches to recreate this effect, again using traces from real objects.

The below prints I made at home with a wooden print press. It does not have the high pressure that the roller printer has so I wasn't able to get really crisp, detailed prints. I do like the effects achieved below although they are not at all what I had in mind. The monochrome fuzzy effect reminds me of a starry night, its quite crude and has a folk art feel that I like. However I need to repeat this process with the roller press to see if I can get more detailed prints.
