Folk and fairy tales share many similarities. Thinking about the role of animals as a depiction of human character and cautionary tales.
The wolf is sly and charming to get what he wants. The victims are children, or animals that are seen as weaker, vulnerable physically and mentally and easily tricked. Yet all these tales show the wolf to be defeated.
I really like the illustration, these books are super nostalgic to me and reading them as a child forms ideas of how you view the world.
Im thinking of playing around with this imagery, especially the images of the wolf and incorporating it into some print design,
