Life Drawing: session one

1st quick drawing in pencil. Warm up. I don't like this the head is out of proportion.

2nd drawing. Charcoal pastel. This was about 15 mins. It's actually my favourite of the bunch. It's quite dramatic and expressive. I like the head/ face.

3rd drawing. Think this was over 20 mins maybe longer. I like the head and hair but need to work on the shades and highlights on the back and arms.

This was a super quick one in ink. But I didn't like the paper texture or working upright with ink. I do want to experiment more with ink but perhaps over the pencil drawing.

This was the last one. About 45 mins. So a lot longer to capture detail. It was a tricky position with lots to capture. I think the face is OK. But as accurate drawings go. This needs a lot of work. Also it doesn't really capture the model as she was very slim with great posture. This drawing seems a bit lumpy and hunched over.

Overall a great learning experience. A real discipline that takes practice. I really want to work on my drawing skills for this project.
