Lungs lino

Test print with colour variation.

Looking into more symmetrical anatomy to develop lino print, I decided to create a lung motif. this is a two part print with a base and detail. its a lot smaller than the pelvic print and in two parts so is a lot more time consuming to print. I like the colour of the barbie pink with dark brown detail, the idea is to make this quite gory part of anatomy into a decorative print, it has quite a retro feel that I like as it s a long way from the starting refence image. Anatomically it is not correct proportion wise through i think this is allowed as its an abstraction and impression rather that an accurate description that I'm trying to visualise.

Further development is to repeat print this onto a large curtain as part of my " room installation" i wanted to print this on something softer to be more representative of its function, so a curtain, by a window, linking it to air/ breath.
