Further development of images for this project and inspired by some of the artists I've been researching I wanted to make a 3D sculpture in clay based on the pelvis motif I've been working with for my repeat prints.
It's based loosely on the pelvis bone and I've added layers of clay to create a more abstract/ bodily sculpture.
I'm now waiting for it to dry and be fired and thinking about what glaze will be effective. The structure is hard and bone like so a white glaze could work or for a more abstract feel and a way to add the duality of fleshy anatomy I think I'd like to go for a pink/ red glaze.
Initial sculpture based on the lino cut and built into a more 3D form. |
