Frame work development

The large frame I made in the workshop buckled with the tension of the thread.

I needed something with a stronger structure so I used a trellis from my garden.

Progress of wrapping the frame.

once the frame was wrapped I coated it in cyanotype solution and let it dry over night in a dark cupboard. I exposed it to sunlight for an hour, I had to use multiple pieces of glass to weigh down the dress.

The exposure looked really good, but on rinsing a lot of detail was lost.
very disappointing outcome after a very time consuming process.

As an extra experiment I made this small frame with a collection f left over silk thread, a bit more colouful than my other works so a nice contrast.
its a simple process, but I really liked how this turned out.
It looks like a work in progress I like the un finished look for this, it brings lots of other options to mind.
