Playing around again with this image. a photograph of a Victorian photograph from the making mischief exhibition. Here I have made photo copies on acetate to layer over each other to create a feeling of movement. I also made a short film on my phone to capture actual movement. The combination of black and white image with the double exposure effect makes it very ghost like.
The stills below where taken in two different ways; I tried with the images both the same way around a to create a trail. The others I have flipped one of the images to create a symmetrical image, reminds a little bit of a kaleidoscope.
Im still considering developing something with this for the exhibition, weather its a video piece with music/ audio or the more sculptural, textile idea I had earlier in the project ; a circular sculpture with an embroidery ring as a frame and silk threads that will mimic a maypole.
The audio in the video is a vocal song I learned at the Laxton may day celebration. A song about rising early to greet the first day of summer. Its a traditional folk song.
